Podetia 3–5 cm tall, forming a densely branched, coherent colony with distinct rounded heads, with predominantly dichotomous isotomic branching, very rarely with trichotomous isotomy; surface cobwebby, pale ash grey. Apothecia not seen. CHEMISTRY: K+ weakly yellow, KC-, P+ red. Atranorin (major) and fumarprotocetaric acid (major). | ||
